This holiday season our 1st of Bachillerato students got the opportunity to connect with students from the United States. We have organized a penpal with students taking Spanish classes in Belen, New Mexico. Our students wrote letters to these students describing how life is as a student and a teenaer living here in Spain. After the holiday break, our students will be able to open the letters written by American students describing their school life. This is a great way for our students to learn about a different culture and how student life is in a different country. We hope this creates a network of native English speakers to native Spanish speakers, that will allow all students to continue practicing a foreign language and learn about a new culture.
Esta temporada navideña nuestros alumnos de 1º de Bachillerato tuvieron la oportunidad de conectar con alumnos de Estados Unidos. Hemos organizado un penpal con estudiantes que toman clases de español en Belén, Nuevo México. Nuestros estudiantes escribieron cartas a estos estudiantes describiendo cómo es la vida como estudiante y adolescente aquí en España. Después de las vacaciones, nuestros estudiantes podrán abrir las cartas escritas por los estadounidenses que describen su vida escolar. Esta es una excelente manera para que nuestros estudiantes aprendan sobre una cultura diferente y cómo es la vida estudiantil en un país diferente. Esperamos que esto cree una red de hablantes nativos de inglés a hablantes nativos de español, que permitirá a todos continuar practicando un idioma extranjero y aprender sobre una nueva cultura.
